Pre-need doesn’t have to be a source of frustration. For too long, funeral home owners have accepted programs that were difficult to understand, hard to exit, and impossible to benchmark. PNA exists because the profession deserves better.

OUR PURPOSE

Rebuilding Confidence
in Pre-Need

For decades, pre-need has operated without a transparent system. PNA delivers a platform where independent governance, custody, and reporting work together to bring clarity.

Inflationary headwinds

A Framework for Navigating Inflation

Inflation is the structural risk in pre-need. With fixed contract prices and rising costs, funeral homes are left with losses at-need.

PNA keeps this risk in focus, using inflation-aware guidelines to help funeral homes determine whether pre-need assets are keeping pace with expected future costs.

The chart is for illustrative purposes only and does not represent actual investment results or guarantee future performance. Hypothetical performance has inherent limitations; it is based on historical data and assumptions that may not reflect actual market conditions, transaction costs, fees, or taxes, all of which would reduce real returns. Changing any assumption could materially alter the results.

Assumptions: $8,000 Pre-Need contract held for 8 years. CD returns based on Bankrate’s national average 6-month CD rates (2015–2024). Inflation based on Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI-U (2015–2024). Note: Funeral home costs have generally risen at a rate higher than CPI.

FAQ

Learn More About PNA

What Makes PNA Different From Traditional Pre-Need Providers?

Most pre-need arrangements bundle investment management, custody, and administration under one provider. That structure limits accountability and gives funeral homes little visibility into how their money is actually working. PNA separates those functions across independent institutions, each with a distinct role and responsibility. No single party controls everything, and PNA itself never has custody of client funds at any point.

How Much Does PNA Charge and What is Included?

PNA charges a single, all-inclusive fee of 1.50%* of pre-need assets under management. There are no licensing fees, implementation fees, onboarding fees, platform fees, marketing fees, audit support fees, or exit fees. Everything is covered in one number. The fee is deducted directly from the pre-need trust account, not billed to the funeral home’s operating budget.

Why Do Funeral Homes Lose Money on Pre-Need?

When investment returns don’t keep pace with your GPL, your account may quietly fall behind, and you may end up absorbing the difference at the time of need. It’s called purchasing power erosion, and it affects most programs funded through life insurance or CDs. PNA’s portfolios are managed with inflation awareness specifically to address this.
